This special day is in aid of Down Syndrome Ireland – Waterford & South Kilkenny Branch, and promises a fun, inclusive and meaningful experience for all who take part.\nNow in its third year, the Sunny South East Cycle has become a much-loved fundraising event in the region, offering three scenic cycling routes through the beautiful countryside of the South East:\n\n\n🚴‍♀️ 125km Route\n\n\n🚵 80km Route\n\n\n👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 12km Family Route (departing after longer routes)\n\n\nThe event is suitable for all fitness levels — from experienced riders to families with young children. Every kilometre you cycle helps fund vital services for local children and adults with Down syndrome, including speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, and life-enhancing group activities.\nThe event is organised with heart by dedicated local volunteers — many of whom are parents of children with Down syndrome. One such organiser shared:\n\n“The branch has been like a second home to us since our daughter Croía was born. This cycle helps ensure that other families can access the same supports and sense of community we’ve been so lucky to have.”\n\nExpect bike marshals, first aid support, refreshment stops, and a welcoming festival atmosphere at the Arena throughout the day.\n📍 Start & Finish Location: SETU Arena, Waterford🕘 Rolling Start From: 9:00 AM🎟 Route details will be emailed in advance🥤 Refreshments & pit stops provided\n\nThis cycle isn’t just a fundraiser it’s a celebration of community spirit.
