Join us for a spectacular evening of classical music as the Adult Youth Orchestra of Ireland (AYOI) takes to the stage at SETU Arena, Waterford on Saturday, July 19th at 7:30pm.

Conducted by the talented Ronan O’Reilly and featuring acclaimed trumpet soloist Helen Doyle, the performance will showcase a stirring programme of classical masterpieces by Tchaikovsky, Mussorgsky, and Arutunian — performed live by one of Ireland’s most exciting new orchestras.

AYOI is the visionary creation of Barbara Dowling, formed in 2022 to reunite past members of youth orchestras from across the island of Ireland. It is the first all-island, post-youth symphony orchestra, designed to celebrate intergenerational musicianship and bring large-scale orchestral performances to new audiences. Since launching, the orchestra has raised over €40,000 in aid of Brain Tumour Ireland, cementing its place as both a cultural and community-led initiative.

This upcoming concert follows the success of AYOI’s Christmas in June fundraiser, also hosted at SETU Arena, which was met with standing ovations and outstanding support. As the group prepares for its first European tour to Prague, this performance is not only a celebration of musical excellence, but also a heartfelt milestone in their journey.
