SHINE Festival 2026

The day every TY girl needs to SHINE!

SHINE Festival, organised by The Shona Project alongside its partners and supporters, is an inspirational event created especially for Transition Year girls.

The festival supports SPHE learning outcomes and the Bí Cineálta framework, creating a safe and respectful environment where students can explore topics including identity, self worth, relationships and the pressures young people experience in everyday life.

Through honest conversations, shared experiences and relatable role models, SHINE encourages empathy, inclusion and connection while helping girls build confidence, self compassion and a stronger sense of belonging.

Rather than providing clinical intervention, SHINE complements existing school wellbeing and SPHE programmes by creating a space where girls can feel seen, understood and less alone.

Schools can attend either Wednesday, 21 October or Thursday, 22 October.

Attendance: Schools can choose one day to attend
